General questions
Do you give free estimates?+
Yes. We come out, measure, look at the condition of your exterior, and give you a written estimate with the scope, materials, and price. No obligation and no pressure.
What services do you offer?+
Siding installation, repair, and replacement; stone veneer and stonework; brick and block masonry; and rain gutters. Most homeowners combine two or three of these into one exterior project.
Do you work on commercial buildings?+
Yes. We work on residential and commercial projects, from single-family homes to storefronts and small commercial buildings.
What areas do you serve?+
We are based in Salt Lake City and work across Salt Lake County and South Davis County. Not sure if you are in our area? Call us at (801) 654-0109.
How soon can you start?+
It depends on the season and the size of the job. Small repairs can often be scheduled quickly. Larger re-sides are booked by date. We'll give you a realistic start date with your estimate.
Will you help with a hail or storm damage claim?+
We document damage with photos and a written scope you can send to your insurance company. Your insurer decides what is covered; we make sure they have accurate information.
Do you clean up after the job?+
Every day. Old material is hauled away, nails are swept up with a magnetic sweeper, and we do a final walkthrough with you before we call the job done.
What does siding cost?+
It depends on the size of the home, the material you choose, the amount of trim, and the condition of the wall underneath. Instead of guessing, we measure and give you an exact written price. The estimate is free.
Can I repair part of my siding instead of replacing all of it?+
Often, yes. If a repair will last and blend in, we'll recommend it. If the siding is near the end of its life, we'll explain why and let you decide.
How do I get started?+
Call or text (801) 654-0109, or fill out the quote form. Tell us what's going on with your exterior and we'll set up a time to come out.
Siding Installation
What siding material is best for Utah?+
It depends on your budget and how long you plan to stay. Fiber cement handles UV and hail well and takes paint. Quality vinyl costs less and needs almost no upkeep. Engineered wood gives you a warm look and holds up better than natural wood. We'll show you samples and talk through the trade-offs at your estimate.
How long does a siding installation take?+
Most single-family homes take a few days to two weeks, depending on size, material, and weather. You get a timeline in your written estimate.
Do I need to be home during installation?+
No. We need access to the exterior and an outdoor outlet. We'll check in with you at the start and walk the finished job with you at the end.
Siding Repair
Can you match my existing siding?+
Usually, yes. Many common profiles and colors are still made. When the exact product has been discontinued, we find the closest match. Sometimes we move original panels from a hidden wall to the visible one so the repair blends in.
Does homeowners insurance cover siding damage?+
Hail and wind damage is often covered, depending on your policy. We can document the damage with photos and a written scope for your claim. Your insurer decides coverage.
Is a small siding repair worth the call?+
Yes. Small openings let water behind the wall, and that's where the expensive damage happens. No job is too small to quote.
Siding Replacement
How much does siding replacement cost in Salt Lake City?+
It depends on wall area, material, how much trim there is, and the condition of the wall underneath. We give you a free written estimate after measuring on-site, so you get a real number instead of a ballpark.
Can you replace siding on just part of the house?+
Yes. Some homeowners re-side the most exposed sides first, or update just the front with a new material and stone accents.
What happens if you find damage under the old siding?+
We show you photos, explain what we found, and give you the cost to fix it before we go any further. No surprise invoices.
Stone Veneer & Stonework
Can stone veneer go over my existing siding?+
No. Siding has to come off where the stone goes so we can install a proper moisture barrier, lath, and scratch coat. That's why stone and siding work go well together.
Is manufactured stone as good as natural stone?+
Quality manufactured stone looks very convincing and weighs less. Natural thin stone has more color variation and lasts longer. Both work well when installed correctly.
How long does a stone wainscot take?+
A typical front elevation takes a few days, including time for the scratch coat to cure.
Brick & Block Masonry
Do you repair old brick?+
Yes. We repoint failing mortar joints and replace damaged brick, matching color and texture as closely as we can.
Do you build retaining walls?+
We build low block and brick walls. Taller retaining walls can need engineering and permits, and we'll tell you up front if your project does.
Do you work on commercial properties?+
Yes. We work on residential and commercial projects.
Rain Gutters
Should I replace gutters when I replace siding?+
It's often the best time. The gutters have to come down for the siding work anyway, and new ones can be matched to the new exterior.
Are seamless gutters worth it?+
Seamless gutters have joints only at corners and downspouts, so there are far fewer places to leak or clog.
Do you repair existing gutters?+
Yes. We re-pitch sagging runs, reseal leaking corners, and replace damaged sections.
